Crescent Firearms

On Saturday, I bought an old used Crescent Firearms 20-gauge. $80, and it works fine. It's a single shot with a hammer that must be manually cocked. My son, Christopher, tried it yesterday. We stood right next to the low skeet house, so the birds were thrown straight away. He hit 5 out of 21, one of which was completely pulverized. He liked it and wanted more. He'll probably be out-shooting me at traps in a few months.

There's a new issue of The Libertarian Enterprise, "The Horror". I wasn't inclined to link to any of the articles this week, except Douglas Newman's W, As In "Wolf In Sheep's Clothing", which I linked to yesterday on his site, but you might like them. [tle]

Justin Raimondo at Antiwar.com - I Ain't Marchin' Anymore - Mr. Raimondo is tired of the politics of the Communists who run the anti-war marches. He says that last Saturday's march in San Francisco will be his last. [grabbe]

politechbot.com - Dan Tsang on his successful suit against CIA for illegal spying - $46,000 and a promise to expunge his records from their computer. One small skirmish for the good guys. [grabbe]

New Yorkers Against Gun Violence - DC Sniper Rifle Not Covered by New York State Law: Advocates call on State to expand ballistic fingerprinting to include rifles and shotguns - It begins. If Pataki is re-elected, which looks pretty likely right now, this will probably happen. I don't know enough swear words to do justice to my feelings. [kaba]
