Tropical storm Humberto which snuck up on us and became a hurricane in the wee hours of this morning has been drenching Texas and downgraded again to a tropical storm.

Just announced on the weather channel: instead of continuing over land humberto has made a sudden, unexpected 180 degree turn and is going back out into the gulf - no projections yet as to where it will again land but it is expected to become again a hurricane in the warm waters of the gulf. Weathermen are exclaiming that nothing like this has ever happened before [but they forget crazy Ivan which did the same].
