          Dear Taylor,
For some time now, there has been so much engineering of the weather—both intentional and unintentional—that usually one cannot state a single cause for odd weather steering. Looks like it will be that way from now on! Best wishes,
          Tom Bearden

          Dear Mr. Bearden,

It is 2:00 pm EST in Ohio and I am watching the Weather Channel and
how there have been unprecedented storms hitting Louisville, KY on the
River Ohio. There is massive flooding. More storms are on the way with
heavy lightning and rain "falling in buckets," as they can not seem to
          steer away from saying.

Well, last night over Fairlawn, Ohio or Montrose, Ohio, during the
near-full moon (August 3rd) I saw the classical pattern of water vapor
following a standing scalar wave, with even parallel columns of wispy
clouds. There was some interference pattern in there too, and I wish I
had had a camera on hand. With the bright moon highlighting the evenly
spaced waves, it was quite something to behold.

I wonder if the bad storms and the (potential) waves in the sky last
night have anything in common. I know you listen to reports like this,
so I figured you would appreciate it. Next time I'll give you a

          picture.

          Sincerely,

          Taylor Mc
