Stratfor has finally let the cat out of the bag, with some light shed on Iraqi potential nuclear weapon capability, which has much to say about the sudden reluctance of our French "ally" in NATO.  Sorta caught with the hand in the cookie jar.  Also, the Germans sold Iraq the calutrons (highly advanced centrifuges used to enrich uranium to weapons grade) right out of Germany's classified program. 

In the Gulf War, the few Iraqi calutrons we got, indeed had residues of weapons grade uranium in them.  This meant that the Iraqis had already made weapons grade uranium (they had perhaps 100 of those calutrons; nobody seemed to know how many, and the Iraqis hid them from the inspectors successfully).  Those Iraqi calutrons have been running continuously during the time since the Gulf War (since 1991).  In latter 1991, the team I headed under contract to Saudi Arabia estimated that Saddam Hussein already had enough weapons grade U235 for from 7 to 12 gun assembly type nuclear weapons.  Today I would estimate he has enough for about three dozen.

If so, then at least a few of them may now be hidden in U.S. cities, waiting for Saddam Hussein's order for his terrorist teams to detonate them.
