  • 5 1886 - Rose Wilder Lane born. 1933- US Prohibition of alcohol repealed.
  • 7 1941 - Japan attacks Pearl Harbor, giving US the excuse to declare war on Japan.
  • 8 1991 - Soviet Union dies.
  • 11 1735 - Paul Revere born. 1971- Libertarian Party founded
  • 12 1673 - First organized tax rebellion in America.
  • 15 1791 - Bill of Rights ratified in America. Immediately violated.
  • 16 1773 - Sam Adams' Sons of Liberty stage Boston Tea Party.
  • 17 1860 - South Carolina Secession Convention issues resolution supporting secession.
  • 20 1989 - Uprising topples Communist regime in Timisoara, Romania.
  • 22 1731 - Dutch revolt against tax on meat.
  • 23 1776 - Thomas Paine writes "These are the times that try men's souls." 1913-Federal Reserve Act signed into law by President Wilson. How ironic.
  • 24 2002 - World Sousveillance Day; watch the watchers.
  • 26 1776 - British troops suffer major defeat in the Battle of Trenton.
