To J.J. & Sierra Times readers; The following is a letter my husband wrote to GOAL (Gunowners Action League in Mass.)I want to thank you for being the first to run this incredible saga and sticking with me. The battle has just begun. I was interviewed by FOX News last night. The reporter is Tricia Taskey from Albany. (518)862-2323. At the end of the interview she said, "I thought I was coming out here to do a story about simple road rage and that it would air at 10pm. But there is so much here it is going to take me a couple days to wade through it all." She is going to call and let me know when it is going to be on.
There is a possibility that my attorney, Gregory Hession, was given false information about Judge Barbalunga. My attorney is a real patriot and is devastated. The first thing he is going to do is file for a mistrial. My husband said that was not a trial. That was "an assassination."

Letter to The Editor; My wife Linda and I would like to thank GOAL for printing the article by Nancy Snow in the Message two months ago. Prior to that Linda had received some bucks for her defense from some friends and more from Gunowners of America; after the article donations from GOAL members began arriving in a slow but steady stream. Our heartfelt thanks to those who sent money and/or prayers.
Back in '98, after our annual "Patriot Potluck" in August, we conceived the 2nd Amendment rally that was held at Bunker Hill. (The first ever in Mass, I might add) We have, in fact, been trying to re-establish our Constitutional rights for about ten years now. I can't begin to figure how much this has cost us in time and money, but we assumed this was well spent. Well, NOT. Despite the rallies, staged now by GOAL, despite Attorney Halbrook, the speaches, marches, letters and postcards, the legislature continues to chip away at our God-given rights, and had this not happened to Linda, we would still be calling, writing, begging!
Consider this; the Emerson case before the Ninth Circuit Court has established that the police "cannot" just snatch guns legally owned on some pretext they dream up. Same sorta thing with Linda; they could not hang a "Gun Violation" on her, so they charged her with "Assault". Same with Doug Burns. This is the way to fight them, case by case until they stop with this bogus crap.
This takes dedication and money. Our donations have been steady, but six weeks later, less than 1% of GOAL members and two gun clubs have contributed. You don't have to bread the bank for these cases--if every GOAL member sent five dollars, that would do it and carry us through the cival suits. Due to the stress of this malicous prosecution, Linda has not been able to work since August, and my second job went belly-up in November. We are starting a joint venture but that is just starting. Nevertheless, I am sending Doug Burns and Alec Costons $10.00 (for the two of us).
